<p><strong>Words from a song by John Lennon and so profound.  <span style="color: #99cc00;">Are you a dreamer?</span> Do you dream of world peace, end to hunger, economic turnaround, cancer cure?  If so, you are actually doing your part in bringing about change and a new direction!!  Did you know that you were so <span style="color: #ff0000;">powerful</span>?  You are!  Science has shown us that our dreams, daydreams, meditations, thoughts, etc, are all powerful forces in changing our world and the world around us.  We know now that we are all energy and all interconnected as ONE! </strong></p>
<p><strong>There are many examples of the power of our minds bringing about change.  A peer reviewed study of the effects of meditation on reducing the rate of violent crime was published in the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Social Indicators Research </span>journal.  &#8220;Researchers predicted in advance that the calming influence of group meditation practice could reduce violent crime by over 20 percent in Washington, DC, during an 8 week period in the summer of 1993.&#8221;  The project had 4,000 practitioners of Transcendental Meditation from 81 countries assembled and meditating for the 8 week period.  The result was a 23 percent reduction in violent crime in this period of focused meditation.  The odds of this occurring by chance are less than 2 in 1 billion!  John Hagelin, lead author of the study and a quantum physicist, refers to the findings as a field effect of consciousness.  Field effect meaning electromagnetic field which we all generate.</strong></p>
<p><strong>If you knew the electromagnetic waves of energy from your body had the ability to change the world, would you do your part and DREAM BIG?  Well, you do have the ability to change the world so start dreaming and make it big and keep it up!  Whether it is world peace, a cure for cancer, or an end to our economic downturn, keep your intentions, thoughts, daydreams, positive and remember, we are in this together and together we can move the world in a new direction!!</strong></p>

<p><strong>Here we are three weeks into the new year and I bet many of your resolutions for the year are but a faint memory.  Weight loss is a resolution that is on so many lists this time of year that I thought I would share some very helpful suggestions to get you moving towards a new pattern around food.  Yes, I call it pattern changes or paradigm shifts.</strong></p>
<p><strong>I don&#8217;t like the word diet, there are too many negative connotations around the word.  We don&#8217;t need to start out feeling negative about our new choice to be healthy and change our eating patterns.  That is what they are patterns, habits, paradigms, etc.  Just as we learned to eat and enjoy foods that may not be the best for us, we can learn new habits and start to appreciate different, nutritious foods.  </strong><strong>If I told you you do not need to starve yourself or count calories, would that get your attention?  Well, that is pretty much the case</strong>.<span id="more-659"></span></p>
<p><strong>I sort of stumbled upon this nourishment pattern because I had really high cholesterol, 328, and I decided since I was a wellness consultant that I should be able to address this and reduce this number naturally.  My doctor wanted to put me on a statin ASAP, which I declined until I had time to &#8220;pay attention to what my body was telling me&#8221;!!!!  There was a message I needed to hear.  Yes, I could start a statin and continue eating as I had been or I could listen to my body and make some needed changes.  I decided to LISTEN to my body and make needed changes and then if I still needed a statin, add it.<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong>Having been a coach for 7+ years, I know that I can not overwhelm clients with too many things at once, so I am going to keep this 2 week paradigm shift simple and effective.  Please check with your healthcare professional before starting any new programs.<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong><em><span style="color: #800080;">Step One</span></em>~Do not eat any white foods, example, white rice, white potatoes, white pasta, sugar (any color) anything made with white flour.  READ THE LABELS!  You want to be eating whole grain products.   So many products say whole grains and then if you read the ingredients label, the first thing is enriched flour, which means white.   No alcohol, artificial sweeteners or coloring.  If you need sweeteners, use Stevia.  Those of you moaning right now because you can&#8217;t have wine or beer, toughen up!  This is for 2 weeks and you can add a glass of wine or a beer occasionally after this initial regimen.<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong><em><span style="color: #800080;">Step Two</span></em>~Exercise 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes.  Walk, bike, hike, Wii exercise, etc.  Again, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOU HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL BEFORE YOU BEGIN ANY NEW PROGRAMS.</strong></p>
<p><strong><em><span style="color: #800080;">Step 3</span>~</em>Always have healthy foods available for times when you need food fast!  Example, hummus and whole grain crackers or pita, marinated vegetables, tabbouleh, fresh fruit and vegetables.  I have recipes on this site.  Print them and use them.  I will be adding a few more.<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong><em><span style="color: #800080;">Step 4</span>~</em>Include raw vegetables in your meals, daily.  You can have them marinated, dipped in reduced fat dressing, whatever you like.  There is a huge movement towards eating raw foods, vegs and fruits, nuts.  It has many benefits including moving food more quickly through your intestines and out the other end!!  Also, you get vitamins and minerals before they are cooked out.</strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">Step 5</span>~You had to know this was coming, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!  Please don&#8217;t buy water in plastic bottles and then pollute the earth.  Reuse existing containers!  Thank you.</strong></p>
<p><strong>That is it!  Keep raw almonds, walnuts, pistachios around if you need a snack between meals.  Smile, you are changing your life.</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>An expo for bloggers is being held in Las Vegas this week, BlogWorld Expo.  As many of you know, blogging has become a passion of mine.  It is a great way for me to share coaching, business consulting and mind body information with those interested. </strong></p>
<p><strong>I belong to a group of bloggers who have decided that we in the group should all blog about a common<a href="http://coachingmindbodyandspirit.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/bigstock_Crazy_School_Bus_5615684.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-634" title="School Bus" src="http://coachingmindbodyandspirit.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/bigstock_Crazy_School_Bus_5615684-300x300.jpg" alt="Education Gone Wild" width="300" height="300" /></a> subject of importance this week to bring attention to a much discussed topic and possibly help bring about change.  The topic is <em>Education </em>and the education system in the United States.</strong></p>
<p><strong>When I first heard the subject, I thought, well I don&#8217;t have kids, haven&#8217;t had any interaction with school systems, so how credible can I be.  Then as I began to think about the youth of today and the problems that we face &#8220;as a country&#8221;, I decided that yes, I do have something to say.  I have decided to address obstacles to our children&#8217;s education.</strong></p>
<p><strong>We are programmed in our formidable years by our experiences and our environment.  Our DNA has a part in how we &#8220;turn out&#8221;, but<span id="more-632"></span> much of the end product as adults depends on what we experience and the environment around us while growing up.</strong></p>
<p><strong>When we look at what our children are exposed to today, and are honest with ourselves, we realize that much of what they are being programmed with are violent video games, TV programs, movies and music videos.   It is no wonder we are seeing violence in schools and bullying.  Reality programs glamorizing teen pregnancy, cage fighting, Jersey Shore, with all the vulgar language and dysfunctional characters, is what we allow these young minds to take in.  Does this represent the values and standards that we should instill in our children?  Should the Kardashian family be our ideal?  I don&#8217;t think so! </strong></p>
<p><strong>Texting has become an obsession with all, not only young adults.  What do we have to say that is so urgent that we need this lifeline to others?  How is it that we cannot live without our cell phones?  Have we all become so brainwashed/programmed that we won&#8217;t leave our homes without our phones?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Facebook, Twitter, My Space, YouTube are the social outlets for our children.    What happened to face-to-face personal contact?  The children of today are not developing the skills needed to go out in the world and interact successfully.  Psychologists tell us that this is a new addiction.  Our children are addicted to texting, social networking and computer games.   Frightening thought!</strong></p>
<p><strong>So where does education fit into all of this?  It certainly takes a back seat for many young people.  We need to stand up for responsible programming on TV, movies that are less violent and teach our kids to contribute to the whole, refuse to support cable programming that doesn&#8217;t measure up to what we want our children to watch.  Refuse to buy violent games and videos.  Take a stand and start at home!  Yes, it could be considered tough love, but your kids are worth it.</strong></p>
<p><strong>I am fortunate enough to be a host family for a Chinese student from Davidson College.   I see in him values and standards that are lacking in many Americans.  What is important to him is his education and working hard to be the best.  He definitely goes the extra mile in everything he does.  He doesn&#8217;t have a TV, just got a cell phone in his second year here in the US, but doesn&#8217;t use it, doesn&#8217;t have time for Facebook, doesn&#8217;t drink, is very social without the social networking.  He is very focused on succeeding and knows these other distractions are a waste of time.   He gives me hope for young people.  We just need to get back to basics.  Identify your values and standards and those that you want instilled in your children and stick to your guns!  I appreciate your feedback <a href="http://www.coachingmindbodyandspirit.com">www.coachingmindbodyandspirit.com</a>. </strong></p>

Have you taken 10-15 minutes a day to visualize and focus on your dream, making it so real that you feel and know it is on it&#8217;s way?  How committed did you say you were?  Remember, there are no excuses with true commitment.  How much do you want this new life/job/relationship/health/weight/etc??</strong></p>
<p><strong>I am blowing kisses to you today wherever you are.  These kisses are to remind you of your commitment to excellence and the best life possible.  I plan to keep nudging you along, first with kisses and then with stronger tactics!</strong></p>

<p><strong>If the software in your head says crank out popscicles.  You get popscicles! You don&#8217;t want popscicles?  <span style="color: #ff00ff;">CHANGE THE SOFTWARE!  <span style="color: #000000;">You want fudgscicles?  Think about fudgscicles! How do they taste?  Fudgey? Creamy? Cold on your tongue?  Do they give you brain freeze when you take too big a bite?  Is it satisfying to sit out on your porch and eat a fudgscicle?  How does it make you feel?  Does it remind you of your childhood when life was less stressful and you had little or no responsibility?  Your thoughts and desires will cause you to take action and manifest popscicles or fudgscicles in your life.  Period!!  Pretty simple, huh?  Yes, it is and you can do this with more important goals and direction.  It all starts with brain energy at a conscious, but more importantly, subconscious level.  </span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong>So let&#8217;s take this beyond food and focus on accomplishing goals and moving our lives forward.  Because of environment and genes, we are locked into a brain pattern, neural network, by the time we are in our early 30&#8243;s.   Our beliefs and habits, which have formed over the years, keep us locked into the life we lead, the successes or failures we experience, the chances we take or not, the thoughts we think.  If we are happy with our lives, wonderful!  If we feel unfulfilled, unhappy, unsuccessful, not living the life of our dreams, what then?</strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">Much of my work over the last few years has been around the quantum field,<span id="more-524"></span> how we turn energy or thought into material things.  Van Gogh said, &#8220;I have never produced an orginal painting, I have seen them all in my mind&#8217;s eye first.&#8221;<img class="alignright" title="Mind's Eye" src="http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu120/rosant/3rdeye.jpg" alt="" width="111" height="108" />  What does that mean &#8220;mind&#8217;s eye&#8221; and how can I use this to manifest my goals and dreams?  </span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">The newest neuroscience tells us that 96-98% of how we feel and behave and what we attract into our lives comes from our subconscious mind.  Our beliefs and our patterns reside here.  The subconscious mind is the keeper of our software.  Our conscious mind can set goals, but the subconscious mind is where things will get done.  So it makes sense that if your subconscious mind is storing limiting beliefs and habits that keep taking you down the same dead end road, you need to reprogram the subconscious mind.  Pretty simple, huh?  Well, it is not as difficult as we make it out to be, but as I always ask my clients, &#8220;Are You Committed to Change??</span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">Neuroplasticity means that the brain can be changed, the neuron connections that we thought were static, we now know can be rewired.  Good News!  Yes, all those limiting beliefs that have haunted us for years, we can finally get rid of!  Good Riddance!!</span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">How do we do this?  Number ONE~<span style="color: #ff00ff;">COMMITMENT!  <span style="color: #000000;">When you are rewiring your brain you can&#8217;t decide it is a great idea on Monday and by Friday you have lost interest and decided this doesn&#8217;t work for you anyway.   If that is you, stop reading this and go eat some potato chips.</span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;">Repetition</span> may be the mother of invention, but it is also the key to changing your paradigm.  How committed are you to move your life out of mediocrity and into the dream life you deserve?  You could make excuses, but there is no room for excuses when you are committed.</span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">It&#8217;s scary!  I know my comfort zone isn&#8217;t comfortable, but I know what to expect and I have become accustomed to this life.  Do I really want to change?  What if?  Ya&#8217; but!</span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em><span style="color: #993366;">You get the picture.  Make the decision, accept the committment and let us move on.</span></em></span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">There are a number of practices/techniques we can use to change our limiting beliefs, habits, rewire our brain, address blocks, shift our paradigm, whatever you want to call it is OK with me.  The bottom line is, are you ready to move in the direction of your dreams and goals?  Everyone reading this said &#8220;Yes&#8221;!  Here are some of the practices I advise and train my clients in and that I will blog about in the next few weeks, visualization, guided imagery, energy work, meditation, affirmations, subliminal instruction, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming.  Sounds like a lot, doesn&#8217;t it?  Good news is you do not have to learn and use all of these, just a few that you choose.</span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">First lesson is to spend some time, at least 10-15 minutes a day, thinking about, visualizing what you want.  What are your goals?  Get really clear on where you are going, what you are doing and how it feels to be there.  Yes, how it feels.  It is very important that we connect as many of our senses to our<img class="alignright" title="Palm trees" src="http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x67/pooponastick_0137/palm-trees.jpg" alt="" width="295" height="300" /> goals as we can.  If you want to live in Hawaii how does it feel to walk out onto your lanai, terrace, with your Mai Tai and look out onto Kaneohe Bay and the blue water and feel the ocean breeze on your face, smell the sweet smell of flowers , hear the birds.  Make your picture as complete as you can.  Pretend you are Van Gogh and you are painting this masterpiece in your mind, first visualizing and then attracting this energy into your life.  You are working on your conscious and subconscious mind by doing this.  Don&#8217;t put any pressure on yourself.  Have fun with this!  Your body and mind will enjoy the experience and you will be better for it. </span></span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="color: #000000;">Let&#8217;s get back to committment.  Are you willing to use this tool daily as a step towards your goal?  Remember, you are selling your subconscious mind.  If you do this for a week and stop, what is the message you are giving the &#8220;spirit&#8221; that controls 96-98% of your destiny?</span></span></span></span></strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>For the past several years I can count on one hand the number of times I have worn high heels.  I don&#8217;t know what happens to us, but as we age our beliefs about what we should and shouldn&#8217;t do <img class="alignleft" title="Fushia High Heels" src="http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu120/rosant/High_heels_2-2.gif" alt="" width="160" height="106" />start to shift and we start to limit ourselves, especially our style.  Somewhere I got it into my head that I am too old to wear stylish, platform high heels.  Then I saw the beautiful, fushia suede platform heels in a Nordstrom catalog and I couldn&#8217;t get to the phone fast enough to order them!!  </strong><strong>They are beautiful!  They are a little too wide, but I will pad them to keep them on my skinny feet.  </strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">Why are these high heels so important to me and how do they have the ability to change my energy?</span> <span id="more-505"></span> </strong></p>
<p><strong>The last 4 months have been very challenging for me.  I have spent most of my time in Ohio helping my mom.  She has been in and out of the hospital and rehabs, and has now decided to stay in a nursing home.  I have had to clean out our family home and put the house up for sale.  It has been a painful time for me.  I don&#8217;t think we can really understand the emotional and physical drain  until we are in the middle of dealing with elderly parents and their well-being.</strong></p>
<p><strong>So how do the shoes fit into this picture?  There is a lot of sadness, decisions to be made, huge responsibility, writing a new chapter for, not only my mother, but my family.  I try very hard to keep my energy positive so I can move forward with what I need to do, but there are those times that I need help and need to be reminded of my strength and determination to see things through.  That is where the shoes come in!  They are whimsical, fun and make me laugh!  Yes, walking around my house in my pajamas or cut off jeans and fushia high heels has the ability to change my energy.  They remind me that my attitude plays a big part in all that is going on around me.<span style="color: #ff6600;">   Lighten up!  </span>I will do what is best for my mom and we will get through this.  When life gets too serious, we need to find something to bring back the joy and get our positive energy back.  If not<span style="color: #ff00ff;"> fushia high heels</span>, what will you use to regain your strength, your joy, and get you back on a positive track?  Remember, whatever your energy vibration is, you are attracting that same vibration back to you.  <img class="alignright" title="brain waves" src="http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq30/E-Zog/brains.jpg" alt="" width="120" height="120" /></strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>I want to apologize for being away from my blog for so long.  Many of you who know me, know that for the last 4 months I have spent the majority of my time and energy in Ohio with my mom.  She has been ill and after many trips in and out of the hospital and in and out of rehab, she has decided to go into long-term care.  I am now working on selling her home and getting her down to North Carolina to be close to me.   </strong></p>
<p><strong>I have had to draw on what I teach to get me through this very stressful time.  Mind body practices have kept me sane and moving forward.</strong></p>
<p><strong>I will hopefully get back into blogging soon.  Thank you for hanging in there with me.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Do I smell like garlic?  Probably, I eat enough for a family of 10!  Yes, I am Italian, but that is only part of my decision to load up on this healthy food.</strong></p>
<p><strong>As I expand my knowledge base in the health and wellness arena, I have become increasingly aware of the critical role the food we eat, not only how much but our choices, plays in our health and well-being.  Both our physical and mental well-being depends on the fuel we feed our bodies, this vehicle that carries us through life.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Most of you have followed me on this blog as I successfully dealt with an extremely high cholesterol level with changing my food choices, a paradigm shift for me that was not that difficult.  I would like to now share with you a</strong><strong> short video from <span style="color: #800080;"><a href="http://http://www.ted.com" target="_blank"><span style="color: #993366;">Ted.com</span></a></span>, which features William Li, President and Medical Director of the Angiogenesis Foundation, the title <a href="http://http://www.ted.com/talks/william_li.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #800080;">&#8220;Can We Eat to Prevent Cancer&#8221;</span>. </a>It is a 24 minute video and I highly recommend you watch it, whether you are concerned with getting cancer or just interested in learning more about staying healthy.  It is worth your time. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Dr. Li talks about angiogenesis, something I know a little about after having researched antiangio-<br />
genesis for possible treatment for my niece, who had breast cancer, and my friend, who had lung cancer.  Angiogenesis is the body&#8217;s process of developing new blood vessels.  Abnormal angiogenesis can feed cancerous tumors.  Antiangiogenesis is the process of starving tumors by cutting back their blood supply.  We can do this with drugs, but we can also address this with the foods we eat.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Dr. Li explains how much of the food we eat has naturally occuring inhibitors of angiogenesis.  Something we should pay attention to since our diets account for 30-35% of the environmentally caused cancers.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Angiogenesis may also apply to obesity since fat tissue is highly dependent on angiogenesis.</strong></p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft" title="Red Grapes" src="http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z75/bigblackbox/grapes.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="272" />Can we be proactive in our approach to cancer, obesity, and other diseases by the food choices we make?  Are you willing to add tomatoes, red grapes, green tea and strawberries to your diet for your health and well-being?  Please let me know your thoughts after you watch this very worthwhile video.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>I wrote the newsletter below about a year ago.  As the negativity in the world continues and seems to get worse daily, I think it is time to revisit this information.  We all have the ability to make a difference.  Will you join me in making a positive difference?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Fear and Quantum Physics</strong></p>
<p><strong>For years I lived with a 13” TV that was never plugged in.  Those were the days.  Really focused on my interests, my home, my work, friends, exercise, cooking, the beach.  Now I am sorry to tell you that I have 3 TV’s, all plugged in.  I watch entirely too many programs focused on devastating hurricanes, missing children, the Iraq war, the financial bailout, the housing disaster, and on and on and on.<img class="alignright" title="TV" src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c150/ericdnielson/television.jpg" alt="" width="271" height="362" /></strong></p>
<p><strong>It is very difficult to feel good about life and the world when we are constantly being inundated with such negativity.  So what’s the answer?  Pull the plugs?</strong></p>
<p><strong>I believe on a grand scale there is a huge amount of negativity in this country and in the world and we have the opportunity individually and collectively to make a difference.  How do we do that??  Quantum physics!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Quantum physics teaches that nothing is fixed; there is no end to one thing and beginning of another; everything is vibrating energy, including us.  We are in a constant state of potential.  What we focus on we attract, which is the definition of the law of attraction.  Whatever you focus on and give your attention to, whether positive or negative, you attract into your life;  Universal energy that obeys the laws of physics.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Not only do movies like “The Secret” and “What the Bleep Do We Know” talk about “like attracting like”, but Proverbs 4:23 states, “Be careful how you think:  your life is shaped by your thoughts.”  In our hearts, we know this message.  What we think about, we manifest into our lives.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Much of our energy, focus, and attention is being taken up by this negative vortex that has swept across the country.  It is time to accept the responsibility and understand the power we have to make positive changes in our lives and also in our country.  It is time to stop the negative energy frenzy, feeding and bringing about more of the same.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Please accept this challenge.    Instead of focusing on all the negatives that are out there waiting for our attention, change your pattern.  It may take a little effort to start firing a new neuron pathway, but it is worth it.  We are worth it.  We have the power to bring about change.  We don’t have to depend on politicians.</strong></p>

<p><strong>For the last month I have been in Ohio taking care of my very ill 92 year old mother.  I am peaceful about my decision to be with her, to be her advocate, and make sure she has the best care.  I believe everyone needs a patient advocate when dealing with critical medical issues and because of my 16 years in the medical arena, I am very qualified for that position.   This blog post is about the attitude of not only the medical personnel dealing with my mom, but also almost everyone else, including my friends, concerning her age and what to expect because </strong><em><strong>&#8220;</strong>She is 92<strong>&#8220;!</strong></em></p>
<p><strong><em>My mom is a happy 92 year old who sits in her livingroom, watching TV and eating pretty much whatever she wants.  On May 15th she became very ill and ended up in the ER.</em></strong><img class="alignleft" title="Mom and chips" src="http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu120/rosant/op1-10.gif" alt="" width="207" height="165" />  <strong>I was visiting so I was the one who took her to the hospital.  I was immediately struck by the attitude of everyone who consulted on her case and took care of her.  &#8221;Well, she is 92!  Her body is shutting down and she will be at a different level because of her illness.   How can she possibly live alone at 92?  It is just the beginning of other ailments to follow.&#8221;  These are some of the comments I heard that really &#8220;pissed me off&#8221;!  Excuse me, but I need to let you know my feelings at these comments and this attitude.  Thank goodness I was there to &#8220;reset&#8221; these people and to keep their negative energy away from my mother.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Because of my profession, I know how important attitude, thoughts and energy are in manifesting your life and your health.  My mother&#8217;s attitude is very positive.  She wants to get back to her home and see her tomato plants and flowers.  She is hoping that the house across the street, which is for sale, will bring nice new neighbors for her to know.  She doesn&#8217;t think about failing health and doesn&#8217;t even think she is old!!!!!  That is why my mom is still around and very sharp at 92!</strong></p>
<p><strong>It has been a month of hospitalization and tests, but she is now in a great rehab facility and doing really well.  I took her hand weights for her to have at her bedside and use often.  I trained her in deep breathing and relaxation exercises, which she does religiously.  She is a star in PT and OT.  She has a wonderful attitude and is worried about how she will get back into her house because she doesn&#8217;t have the key with her.  Her focus is on getting back to Piccadilly St. and her neighbors and friends.  Yes, she is 92, but to my mother, it is just a number.<img class="alignright" title="Old woman w weights" src="http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu120/rosant/op2-8.gif" alt="" width="250" height="359" /></strong></p>
<p><strong>This is a lesson for all of us.  Do not let a number dictate how you will live your life!  Make up your mind to live to the fullest no matter what age.  Remember, attitude, your thoughts and your energy play a huge role in what you will manifest into your life.  If you think you are old, you are old, even if you are 35!</strong></p>
