Importance of “Minding Your Mind”
Here we are at the beginning of spring.  Flowers blooming, birds singing and the promise of a new beginning.  It has been a long winter and now we have hope and anticipation in this new season.  So what does springtime have to do with minding your mind?  It is the analogy of starting anew, having the opportunity to start fresh, letting go of the past that may not have served you well.

We have the ability to make the lives we desire and it starts with our thoughts.  Our thoughts at a conscious or subconscious level can propel us forward or keep us stuck in an unfulfilling life, career and state of health.  Getting control of our thoughts and noticing when we are dwelling on the same old stuff that got us where we are, is a huge step in moving in the direction of our dreams.  When you learn to think beyond your current environment and focus your energy and thoughts on your goal, you will move in that direction.  If you continue to think about what is not working or what you lack in your life and career, you will get more of the same.

So what does “minding the mind” entail?  When you look up “to mind” in the dictionary, it says, “to pay attention to, to apply oneself, to look after, to heed”.  Minding the mind means paying attention to your thoughts.  The thoughts that do not serve you well and move you in the direction of your dreams, need to be redirected.  The first step is to pay attention and become aware of what you are thinking.  If you are ruminating (to chew again, over and over) about some negative stuff that is going on in your life, stop it!  Practice redirecting your thoughts to successfully redirect your life.

So how are you going to redirect your thoughts?  There are many techniques to redirect your thoughts, but for a start, I would like you to “Daydream”.  Yes, we all got scolded as children when we would daydream, but it is a very important tool to manifest the life you desire.  So I want you to take time every day and daydream about your successful accomplishments in…………!  Whatever you choose to work on.  You can lie on the floor with the sunlight streaming in a window and falling on your wonderful face.  And, anything is possible for you if you “daydream it”. Dream big, dream bigger!  This is the time to deal with limiting beliefs.  There is no room for them in daydreams.  This also shows your commitment to change.  Will you use this tool?

As always, I love to hear from you.

Love to you all,

Rosemary
